Aaye Tum Yaad Mujhe

« on: March 10, 2010, 02:51:03 AM »

We are aware of the songs made both in Bengali & Hindi. The tune or music of the song is quite similar but the language is different. But everybody doesn't know about those songs..Please try to bring those songs into the light.

Here I am giving an Example :-

Tobu Bole Keno Sohosai Theme Gele (Rajkumari)(Bengali)

Kya Jaano Main Hoon Kaun Mara Hua Zindagi Ka (Bandhe Haath)(Hindi)

Please Make us know about such songs...

Many of Guru's songs composed by R D Burman have dual versions. Like:

A. Ae ki holo- Rajkumari- Bangla
Yeh kya hua- Amar Prem - Hindi

B. Bondho dwarer ondhokare- Rajkumari-Bangla
Aap ke kamre mein- Yaadon ki Baraat- Hindi

C. Aakaash keno daake- Non film- Bangla
Yeh shaam mastani- Kati Patang- Hindi

D. Ek din paakhi ude jaabe- Non film- Bangla
Tum bin jaaoon kaha- Pyar ka Mausam- Hindi

There are many in fact. Take Shyamal Mitra as the music director, Kishore sang these bi-lingual songs:

1. Tere gaalon ko chumu(with Asha). Amanush. Hindi
Jodi hoi chor kaanta(with Asha). Amanush. Bengali.

2. Sara pyar tumhara(with Asha). Anand Ashram. Hindi

Amaar swapno tumi(with Asha). Ananda Ashram. Bengali.

Abhijit already mentioned about Rahi naye naye vis-a-vis Prithibi bodle gechhe from Shyamal Mitra.

Surprisingly, under Hemant Kumar, Kishore does not have any bi-lingual song even though he sang around 40 odd songs with him both in Hindi as well as Bengali. 'Aaj rona pada to samjhe' had a Bong version 'Prem ekbaar esechhilo jeebone' but it was not a Kishore song.

Sure to get some different views.
